A Beer with History and Soul
Blonde beer flavoured with local herbs such as green tea, black tea, hibiscus, mallow, roses, dried red chilli, dried rosehip and poppy seeds. "Haste was never a good advisor", goes the saying... or "You don't have to get there first, but you have to know how to get there". Phrases that remind us of the importance of slowing down and savouring every moment. This philosophy of life, known as the slow movement, is gaining more and more followers every day, like the little more than a thousand inhabitants of our village, Nigüelas. Situated high up in the Lecrín Valley, sheltered by the Sierra Nevada, this corner of Granada is known by its neighbours as los lentos (the slow ones).

A Taste of History
"This beer is brewed with passion, as an ode to love. Its creators have selected spices from around the world to give it a unique character: red chillies from Khao Lak (Thailand), rosemary and orange blossom from Grenada, rose hips from Korčula (Croatia) and, of course, poppy seeds. The result is an explosion of spicy and delicious flavour. Enjoy this unique beer and let your senses transport you to a sunny poppy field."
The Aliance with La Gavach
In May 2020 we contacted Raphael Souny, a French-born resident of Nigüelas, who at the time was producing beer on a nomadic basis while setting up his own brewery in Padul. His brand, La Gavach, distinguishes itself by using organic malt and offering craft beers as diverse as pale ale, amber, IPA, black and even a guava beer from the Costa Tropical. Raphael believed in our project from the very beginning and worked on perfecting our recipe, this time without coca leaves. Since then, Los Lentos craft beer has been distributed throughout the province of Granada and even exported to Belgium, where it continues to conquer palates.
The Advertising Prank That Got the Best of Us
On 11 August 2022 we organised a publicity stunt that was so successful that we ended up regretting it. We announced a special edition of Lento Lento with helium, and the promotional video went around the world. We received an avalanche of calls asking us to distribute our beer internationally. 😅
